The pastel portrait of "Percival" has been selected as a finalist in the Richeson75 Online Animals, Birds & Wildlife Competition. The notification stated, "There were several hundred entries for this contest!

The Driftwood Assemblages of Thomas Sheets

Who would have thought that humble little pieces of driftwood found on our local beaches could be assembled into such imaginative art pieces? The small pieces of driftwood gathered on the windswept beaches of the Southern Oregon coast are combined with other “found” items.

SIGNATURES GALLERY has joined BRIAN SCOTT GALLERY in a collaborative effort to keep art alive and well in Brookings, Oregon. Our new home is at 515 Chetco Avenue (Highway 101) just across the street and down two blocks from our old location. Our new home is a three story building, with the main floor as the gallery.

Portrait Gets Two Awards!

Sandy Bonney's pastel portrait of Albert Handell (one of the world's top pastel artists) won first place at the Pasadena Materials and Supplies Expo: Art! show in October. The portrait was also juried into the Pastel 100 Competition sponsored by the Pastel Journal Magazine. Over 4,500 entries were received from all over the world. Only 100 are selected, twenty from each of five categories.

Jan Kunz featured in Watercolor Magazine

The Winter 2010 issue of Watercolor Magazine's feature story is "Modern Masters: Jan Kunz" by Lynne Bahr. She writes,"This artist believes that passion, training, and hard work go a long way toward successful watercolor paintings." We agree, 100 percent!
